A Christian Take on Money

When you recognize that Jesus, who was rich, became poor for our sakes, you try to figure out how to bring life to your money. You ask not, "What must I do with this money?", but "What can I do with this money?" - Timothy Keller

It's not about being able to meet the lease payments on your BMW*. It's about the impact your money can have on the lives of those less fortunate than yourself.

* Not to say that I think having a BMW is necessarily a bad thing, but it shouldn't be the highest priority on the list of things you use your resources for. That's why I like that Christianity is so uncompromising in its insistence that you tithe at least 10 percent of your wages.
